If you really, really hate Math but you have to take this course (for whatever reason, temporary insanity, etc.) check out this link
OK, so you have to take this course... Now what? Use this web site daily or whenever you can in order to access and try as many of the options, examples, exercises, old assignments offered herein.
Review your High-School math notes (all of them, if you still have them). You really should have a good grasp of Algebra and Trigonometry, - these subjects form the basics of Calculus, the bare skeleton. You really need to know this stuff. Get the book for the course and start reviewing Chapter 1. Soon, there will be a Trig. review on this web site and you will be able to review it online.
Even though there are no compulsory assignments this year,
do the old ones on this site. They will help you to understand the subject
matter. Also, every week or two look over the past final exams and see
which questions you can do (or should be able to do). If you don't know
how to do one, ask your TA. If that doesn't work come and see me during
my Office Hours (Mondays, 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays, 11:30
a.m. -12:30 p.m. ).
